Retailaer NDC 24.4 API

Welcome to the developer documentation for the IATA NDC 24.4 Offers & Orders API. NDC (New Distribution Capability) is IATA's XML messaging standard for airline retailing — shopping for offers, creating and servicing orders, and settling payments.

This site documents the 48 NDC 24.4 services implemented in the @oms/ndc-24-4 library: how to connect, the message envelope and data model, a reference page for every message with a validated example, an OpenAPI 3.1 contract, and a ready-to-import Postman collection.

The Offers & Orders model​

NDC separates offers (what an airline is willing to sell, and at what price) from orders (what a customer has bought). A typical flow:

  1. Shop — AirShoppingRQ → AirShoppingRS returns priced offers, each made of offer items.
  2. Price — OfferPriceRQ → OfferPriceRS re-prices the selected items into a firm, bindable offer.
  3. Order — OrderCreateRQ turns the offer into an order; the airline replies with OrderViewRS, the authoritative order snapshot.
  4. Service — OrderChangeRQ, OrderReshopRQ, ServiceDeliveryRQ, and the various notifications manage the order through its life.
